Playing football abroad
Playing football abroad, what are the advantages. As a born and raised Dutchman, you are naturally the first to come into contact with Dutch football culture. What exactly such a culture entails partly depends on the location in the Netherlands. In the Randstad, the game is different from that in the north of the Netherlands.
The different cultures bind together
However, what does differ is playing football with a team abroad. It’s not just the location and the temperature, but it’s more the different culture. Especially if it is a composed team, then several cultures come together.
That is where the big advantage lies. This mixed composition exposes you to a variety of techniques and culture-related playing styles. It’s like a walking shop on the playing field that you can learn from.

Building personal and football experience abroad
I started playing football abroad when I was 20. For me this was a nice experience in Sweden, taking in new football culture and a new language. As a football player from another country, you bring new qualities into the game. The goal is; to use these new qualities, together with the team, in such a way that this results in a profit in the game.
As a football player, you grow in the experiences gained. Not only on the football field but also outside it. You live and work abroad. You are more dependent on yourself and therefore become more independent. With that growing independence, you also become mentally stronger. It is precisely the latter that benefits the playing field.

The road to succes
Football players, who play abroad, develop more self-awareness. It is precisely this setting that can be of great value if used properly during the game. Football is and remains a team sport, in which the coach and the team have to find the right balance between all those qualities.
As a football player you must learn; to play various styles of football, under the direction of different coaches and various foreign conditions.
Sometimes the road to success leads through different disciplines. Experience of playing football games abroad is such an important discipline.
